SEAFOOD

Canuck's
Paseo Claussen # 259, Centro
ph: 981-8408
Directions: Head south on Olas Altas towards the lighthouse and Centro Historico. You will pass the cliff diving tower and the huge Mexican flag. We are about two blocks further south from the giant flag across the street from the ocean.
Hours: 4pm - 11pm
The Guadalajara Grill
Avenida de las Garzas, right in the middle of the golden zone.
Try the Steak Molcajeta Azteca, which is broiled and cooked pieces of steak surrounded by strips of cheese, onions, tomatoes, and pieces of cactus. Yes cactus, and don't be squeamish, its delicious. Of course the barbecued ribs are also a good bet. Be sure to save room for the delicious caramel crepes for dessert.

CAFÉS

Pura Vida
Just up the street from the Hotel Playa, on Calle Bugambilias, across the street from Darios.
Try any smoothie that strikes your fancy and the toasted vegetarian sandwich with cheese
Ernie Tomato's
Located right next to Sea Shell city, in the heart of the golden zone.
We usually order three of their appetizers, which is more than enough food for two. Try the Artichoke Dip, the Crunchy Chicken Chunks, and of course, don't miss the Fried Green Tomatos.

MEXICAN

Casa Loma
Flag a taxi and tell them: "Take me to Casa Loma."
It is a family run restaurant with some of the best food in Mazatlan.
You must have the Casa Loma salad. Even though the ingredients sound eclectic, it is delicious. For an entree, we suggest the Shrimp Diablo. Their Margaritas are good too. We have never had a bad meal here.
The interior reminds you of a aging and elegant home, and the courtyard section is delightful as well.

AMERICAN

Heather's Place
Camaron Sabalo #300, right across the street from Oceano Place
ph: 914-2999
The pancakes are especially worthy of notice. She also has daily specials, live music every evening and it's a wi-fi hotspot
Mary's Place
Located just south and across the street from Pueblo Bonito,
next door to the Posada La Mission Hotel.
Mary's Place is another great place for burgers. The onion rings are the best in Mazatlan. Her fries were good too.
The Saloon

They offer two for one drinks every day from 4 to 8. The Saloon is a great place to go for a good burger.
